What brought you to MTSI?
Working at MTSI has been a goal of mine since I began my career in proposals. The company is held in such a high regard across the community of Government contractors, and I knew I wanted to be a part of that. I was thrilled when I learned that MTSI was hiring for a proposal manager to support the NOVASTAR IDIQ contract. I applied, and the rest is history!
What does MTSI being 100% employee owned mean to you?
It means that I’m not just a number; that the company recognizes me as a valued person and employee and that my thoughts, feelings, and opinions matter! It means that work-life balance is something held in high regard, because employees really do come first at MTSI. The transparency here at MTSI is something I’ve never experienced at any other company, and something I have an appreciation for every day.
What do you enjoy in your spare time?
Outside of work, I love being a mom to my one-year-old, Sawyer and a wife to my husband, Cody. We have five (yes, five!) pugs, two of which are special needs (one is blind, one is deaf and missing a leg!) I also enjoy listening to podcasts; my all-time favorite is This Is Important. When it’s warm out, we love to go kayaking or just spend some time outdoors. Finally, I love trying new, locally owned restaurants. One of my most recent favorites is Canal St. Arcade and Deli.
