Autonomous Aircraft Flight Test

This commercial customer advances automated electric VTOL flight for the emerging on-demand mobility market by developing a self-piloted flying vehicle for individual passenger and cargo transport. Lacking the experience to test a fully autonomous aircraft, they selected MTSI to lead a phase of flight test, which seeks to identify and resolve major technical and certification risks. MTSI successfully demonstrated the aircraft’s first flight since conducting over 100 additional flight tests evaluating the aero-mechanical, flight controls, propulsion, electrical, and collision avoidance sub-systems in preparation for future phases.
