MTSI Embraces Social Responsibility: 650 JoyJars Assembled for Children in Hospitals Nationwide
At MTSI, we work hard to live out our core value of Social Responsibility everyday! At the recent 2024 MTSI Strategic Planning meeting last week, the team had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a JoyJar Making event where employees put together 650 JoyJars to be shipped out to hospitals around the country the next day!
The amazing concept of JoyJars was developed by Jessie Rees in 2011 when she was fighting cancer and saw how many children lived in hospitals for extended periods of time during their treatments. She came up with this wonderful idea to support these kids and their families by spreading joy, hope, and smiles through giving the gift of JoyJars. Unfortunately, Jessie lost her battle with cancer in 2012, but in her memory and in support of children fighting cancer around the world, the Jessie Rees Foundation continues today. To date, Jessie Rees has provided over 500,00 JoyJars in all 50 states and in 50 countries around the world!
